O.D. 7", Upper Thread Type 2-3/4"-6Acme-2G, Lower Thread Type 6-1/4"-6Acme-2G, Top Subs for Perforating Guns
Material
Constructed of superior-grade alloy steel, the O.D. 7" Top Sub has superior wear life, corrosion life, and abusive-pressuring resistance. The steel has a heat treatment that increases the hardness and tensile strength of the steel and resists abusive-downhole failures and fatigue effectively. The tensile strength and hardness of the material increase the life of the sub and enable it to perform consistently in abusive application environments. The heavy construction of the part guarantees the part will perform at an optimum in abusive environments such as abusive-pressuring formations and in deep wells.

Production Processes
1. Forging: The operation of the initial operation involves the forging of higher-alloy steel billets into the superior sub foundation material. This operation enhances the strength and the material integrity.
2. Machining: Using CNC machining the forged part is machined accurately to yield tight-tolerance precise diameters and threads and other critical features accurately.
3. Heat Treatment: The steel receives a heat treatment that hardens the metal so that it becomes stronger and has better wear and fatigue life and the ability to sustain harsh high-pressure downhole environments.
4. Thread Cutting: The top and the lower threads are specially machined with dedicated tools with the respective 2-3/4"-6Acme-2G top and 6-1/4"-6Acme-2G lower specifications such that they perfectly fit together with a smooth joint.
5. Finishing: After machining, the sub is also deburred and polished to remove any sharp edges and allow smooth interfacing with interfacing parts.
Quality Test & Inspection
Our 7" OD top subs also experience a rigorous set of tests and inspections in order to meet and surpass standards within the business:
• Dimensional Accuracy: The subs get properly evaluated such that they receive true thread cuts, diameters, and overall dimensioning.
• Pressure Testing: The subs undergo rigorous pressure testing to simulate operational conditions, ensuring they can handle the stresses encountered during perforating operations.
• Material Verification: The tensile strength and hardness of the material are tested in order to certify that the alloy steel complies with the required standards.
• Thread Inspection: Thread-checking tools specially designed keep the threading properly aligned and free of any faults that could lead to operational failures.
Key Features
• Dual Acme Threads: The 2-3/4"-6Acme-2G top and 6-1/4"-6Acme-2G bottom of 2 threads that fit together to form a firm and stable interface between the sub and the rest
• High-Strength Alloy Designing: Provides higher wear and tear resistance and heavy pressure and corrosion resistance that enhances the life of the sub.
• Heat-Treated for Durability: The heat treatment process enhances the material’s strength and fatigue resistance, allowing the sub to perform optimally in harsh conditions.
• Precision Machining: CNC machined with fine dimension and smooth threading that ensures a smooth fit in perforating gun assemblies.
• Customizable Lengths: Provided in a multiple of configurations that fit a variety of lengths.
Industry Applications
• Oil & Gas Drilling: Applied in the use of oil and gas well perforating gun assemblies, particularly drilling of pressurized and deep wells.
• Hydraulic Fracturing: Essential part of hydraulic fracturing equipment, ensuring tight connections of different components at elevated pressure rates.
• Well Completion: Essential for the tools of the well completion and ensuring a solid interface between the perforating gun assemblies and good well perforation.
Packaging and Storage
The O.D. 7" Top Sub is suitably packed with covers made of shrink wrap and a foam pad against physical shock during shipping. The subs are packed within shipping crates that are rugged and durable enough to safeguard them during shipping. The subs need to be stored in a cold and desiccant area so that they don't rust during the period of the storage. Care needs to be provided against shock and injury of the threading so that it does not cause any fitment problem during installation.
Shipment
Once the O.D. 7" Top Subs clear the checks of quality, they are properly packed with great attention and sent with reputable shipping partners with a promise of speedy and secure shipping. We include track and trace with each of the shipments and take extra special attention that the subs arrive at the customer in an impeccable state of good working and usage.
