O.D. 3-3/8", Upper Thread Type 2-3/4"-6Acme-2G, Lower Thread Type 2-13/16"-6Acme-2G, Top Subs for Perforating Guns

The 3-3/8" Top Sub O.D. is an integral of the perforating gun subs and ensures a stable and firm fit of the subs and the perforating gun. The top sub has an upper and lower thread of 2-3/4"-6Acme-2G and 2-13/16"-6Acme-2G types and has been manufactured with the strength and precision design of harsh oil and gas environments. The subs have been specifically manufactured for application in the deep well perforation and exhibit stable and strong performance regardless of harsh pressures and the harsh environments of the downhole. They play an integral role in the maintenance of the perforating gun during the processes of stimulation and the well completion.

    Material

Crafted with the use of premium alloy steel, the 3-3/8" O.D. Top Subs are designed to withstand the harsh environments normally found in the operation of oil and gas wells. The use of alloy steel ensures higher strength, wear and corrosion resistance, and superior operation at high pressures. The material goes through a further enhancement of a heat treatment that increases the hardness of the material and enhances the fatigue and wear resistance of the top subs. The heavy construction guarantees that the top subs perform at the highest level throughout the operational life cycle.

    Production Processes

    1. Forging: High-quality ingots of steel are forged into the overall shape of the sub and offer a good starting place for the final product.
    2. Machining: Using CNC technology, the top sub is machined with the intention of cutting and sizing it accurately.
    3. Heat Treatment: The machined part goes through a heat treatment that hardens the metal and raises the strength of the part against wear and tear, fatigue and temperature stresses.
    4. Thread Cutting: The top and bottom threads (2-3/4"-6Acme-2G and 2-13/16"-6Acme-2G) are expertly cut to the strict specifications with state-of-the-art thread-cutting technology
    5. Surface Treatment: The subs are machined and ground smooth with smooth surfaces and threading in order not to experience installation friction and leave a top-quality finish behind.

    Quality Test & Inspection

O.D. 3-3/8" The top subs also undergo rigorous tests and examinations before shipping:
    • Dimensional Inspection: The entire dimension and the threads are accurately measured in order to be correct and fit perfectly.
    • Pressure Testing: The subs are subjected to pressurized testing at simulation of the subs' strength and capabilities.
    • Material Testing: The tensile strength, hardness, and resistance against corrosion of the used alloy steel throughout the manufacturing process are tested and found at the highest standards of the industry.
    • Thread Inspection: The threads are closely examined with regard to fitment and consistency so that they fit perfectly with the rest of the perforating gun system.

    Key Features

    • Dual Acme Threads: The upper 2-3/4"-6Acme-2G and lower 2-13/16"-6Acme-2G threads are designed to deliver exceptional strength and reliability.
    • Superior Alloy Steel: The superior alloy steel ensures the subs will be able to tolerate the harsh high-temperature and high-pressure subsurface environments.
    • Heat-Treated for Strength: The sub becomes strengthened with the use of heat and has additional strength against wear and tear and against fatigue and pressure.
    • Precision Machined: CNC machining guarantees a tight and firm fit with strict dimensioning and thread specification.

    Industry Applications

The 3-3/8" Top O.D. Sub has application in
    • Oil and Gas Perforating Guns: Serves as a trustworthy linking item between the perforating gun and the rest of the tools during the well completing and stimulation processes.
    • Well Completion: Essential in making perforating guns effectively and reliably perform during drilling of the deep wells.
    • Hydraulic Fracturing: Forms a permanent seat of the tools' fixation that will be exposed to the tremendous pressures of the hydraulic fracturing operation.

    Packaging and Storage

The O.D. 3-3/8" top subs are suitably packed with protecting materials such as shrink-wrap or foam inserts to keep the subs safe during shipping. The subs should be placed in a clean and ventilated environment free of chemicals and moisture. This will keep the top subs in great shape and at the top of the line and at the ready whenever they may be needed.

    Shipment

Once the tests are done and the product has passed the quality test, the O.D. 3-3/8" Top Subs get packed and shipped with special care to the whole world. The subs get shipped with trackable trusted shipping so that they get delivered quickly and safely. The shipping happens with special care so that the subs get delivered in perfectly working good state.
