O.D. 2-7/8", Upper Thread Type 2-3/4"-6Acme-2G, Lower Thread Type 2-3/8"-6Acme-2G, Top Subs for Perforating Guns
Material
Crafted with the highest strength alloy steel, the 2-7/8" O.D. top sub has been built with the intention of lasting the toughest of the downhole environments. The metal has been specifically selected based on the highest mechanical properties including fatigue strength, resistance against corrosion and the ability to stand harsh pressures. The steel also undergoes a heat treatment that increases the metal strength and prevents failure during heavy use. This ensures that the top sub has the strength it needs to perform in the harsh environments characteristic of the petroleum and natural gas sector.
Specifications
• Outer Diameter (O.D.): 2-7/8 inches and suitable for use with a variety of perforating gun systems.

Production Processes
1. Forging: The metal raw material is forged into the required shape with the highest strength and hardness.
2. Machining: CNC machining is used in cutting the threading with the required accuracy and fitting the part into the required dimension of fitment.
3. Heat Treatment: The sub undergoes a specialized heat treatment that enhances the mechanical strength of the sub and increases fatigue and wear resistance.
4. Threading: Precision threading is done in order to prepare the top and the bottom thread forms and get them fit the strict standards of a good fit.
5. Inspection and Surface Finishing: The part receives a final detailed inspection in an effort to determine the part's integrity and further surface fining for smooth and flawless operation.
Quality Test & Inspection
Each O.D. 2-7/8" Top Sub is put through strict testing to be of good quality:
• Dimensional Verification: Assures correct dimension and threading profile for a correct fit.
• Pressure Testing: The subs are put through high-pressure testing in order to perform effectively in harsh environments of the well.
• Material Testing: The fatigue life and strength of the material will be assured to be durable and reliable.
• Thread Inspection: The threads get examined with great attention so that there won't be any fault during the operation of perforation.
Key Features
• Dual Thread Design: Equipped with the provision of two distinct threads namely the 2-3/4"-6Acme-2G and the 2-3/8
• Heat-Treated Alloy Steel: Offers fatigue strength and also against corrosion and higher pressures that extend the life of the sub.
• Precision Machined: CNC machining guarantees that every part fits perfectly with the rest of the system, and the system becomes better and safer working.
• High Pressure and Temperature Resistance: Design with the capabilities of withstanding the rugged environment of deep well and high-pressure application.
Industry Applications
The O.D. 2-7/8" Top Sub will typically be used in the petroleum and natural gas industry with the use of:
• Perforating Gun Systems: They play an instrumental role in mated sections of perforating guns during maintenance and a well's completion.
• Hydraulic Fracturing: Helping in providing the stability of perforating gun assemblies during the course of high-pressure fracturing processes.
• Well Completion and Stimulation: Achieving stable and long-lasting results in a variety of completion and stimulation treatments.
Packaging and Storage
The O.D. 2-7/8" Top Sub is properly packed with shipping and shock protection against shipping and handling damage. The sub will be kept in a clean and moisture free environment that will not rust it. The sub will be maintained and will be of use if it’s properly stored.
Shipment
Once premium subs are ready for shipping, they're packed into rugged and reliable containers. Clients also get shipping traces that allow them to follow the travel of the shipping and get it promptly. The subs ship immediately installation-ready within perforating gun systems with minimal downtime.
