Production Processes
The production of the 4-1/2" Tie Down Sub adheres to a rigorous manufacturing standard in order to be able to perform
1. Forging: The sub begins life as a forged bar of highest strength and stability forged into the original forged alloy steel shape.
2. Precision Machining: The sub is accurately machined with the aid of highly developed CNC tools. The thread surface is accurately machined to the required specifications so that it fits perfectly with the rest of the perforating gun system.
3. Thread Cutting: The 3-15/16"-6Acme-2G thread is properly cut with the intention of reducing the likelihood of leakage and failure and providing smooth and tight connections.
4. Heat Treatment: The sub receives a controlled heat treatment that enhances the hardness and fatigue life of the sub and ensures a higher life at higher stresses.
5. Surface Coating: A corrosion-resistant coating is applied to safeguard the sub from rust, corrosion, and other environmental factors, enhancing durability.
Quality Test & Inspection
Each Tie Down Sub has been tried and tested with the company's toughest standards and with the highest standards of preparation and availability of critical use:
• Dimensional Inspection: Careful examinations of each of the measurements including thread dimension and diameter within the tolerance limits.
• Thread Verification: The thread design closely scrutinizes with a fit in good regard.
• Pressure Testing: To simulate real-world conditions, the sub is subjected to high-pressure tests to confirm its performance and reliability under extreme conditions.
• Material Testing: Tests of a set of tests carried out on the material in order to quantify strength, hardness and wear and fatigue resistance.
Key Features
• Precision-Engineered Threads: 3-15/16"-6Acme-2G has a tight and tight fit that guarantees the highest operational performance during operation.
• High-Strength Material: Constructed of higher hardness and strength with wear-resisting characteristics of the heat-treated steel alloy.
• Corrosion-Resistant Coating: Protective coating will isolate the sub from the corrosives that typically dominate a wellbore environment.
• Customizable Length: The tie-down sub has a variety of lengths that fit a variety of operational needs.
• Durability: Designed with the anticipation of withstanding the toughest downhole environments with a long life and a minimal maintenance requirement.
Industry Applications
The O.D. 4-1/2" Tie-Down Sub is a vital part of the petroleum and natural gas industry and is typically applied
• Perforating Gun Designs: Securing the perforating guns during the drilling operation.
• Well Completion: Is a component of the completion of the oil and gas wells with the inclusion of a locking system that will hold the perforating guns firmly in position.
• Workover Operations: Helpful in the stability of the perforating gun systems during maintenance procedures.
• Deep-Well and HP Drilling Capability: Possesses the ability of working within rugged deep-well and HP environments and with the applicability of offshore and onshore drilling operations.
Packaging and Storage
To ensure that the Tie Down Sub reaches the site of use in a good working condition, it has been packed with sufficient protecting materials with extra care. Care has also been taken not to scratch and be surface-damaging during shipping and transport. Its preferred site of storage has been a clean and temperature-controlled area free of moisture and impurities that may affect the working of the Tie Down Sub.
Shipment
Once production has been completed, the Tie Down Sub has been set up correctly for shipping. Shipping options include standard and expedited shipping procedures. Real-time track options offer the customer the option of real-time tracking of the orders' status. Upon the sub's arrival, it will be readily installation and application with perforating gun systems and minimize downtime and maximize operation.
