Hot-Forged Automotive Crank Axle Forgings

Our hot-forged engine axles of the automobile sector are heavy-duty engine parts with regular use in the automobile sector. The strength and hardness of the forged axles make them ideally fit in the toughest engine application. The axles are manufactured with the highest standards of the forging process that ensures the highest standards of excellence and consistency in the operation of the axles at the toughest working environment of the engine.

Our hot-forged crank axles are specifically developed with the strength and resilience to absorb heavy stresses, torque, and fatigue and perform at the highest standards required of automobile makers. They're forged specifically with the capabilities of modern engine designs in mind, including the use of lighter materials and higher efficiency output.

    Material

Crafted from higher-strength alloy steels such as chromium-molybdenum alloys (Cr-Mo) and carbon alloys, the crank axles we design and fabricate exhibit higher strength and wear resistance and superior fatigue strength. The alloys we use are chosen based on their resistance against the harsh environments of engine usage, including elevated temperatures, rotation at high speeds, and heavy loading duties. The forging operation improves the internal grain of the metal within the final part, providing strength and stability in the final part.

    Production Processes

    1. Hot Forging: We use the latest technology of closed-die forge processes in the metal at higher temperatures. The metal forged achieves higher strength, low-temperature strength and fatigue strength through the forging process.
    2. Heat Treatment: After forging, the crank axles undergo heat treatment, including normalizing and quenching, followed by tempering to achieve optimal hardness and ductility. This process ensures the axles perform at peak efficiency under extreme conditions.
    3. CNC Machining: The forged axles of the crank are further machined with CNC tools with excellent accuracies to the fine-tuned dimensions so that the final part has strict tolerances and fits perfectly within engine systems.
    4. Surface Finishing: The axles also receive a series of surface treatments including shot blasting, polishing, and/or coating with the intention of beautifying and wear-resistant and longevity of the axles.

    Quality Test & Inspection

Each crank axle forge undergoes a set of rigorous tests of excellence in order to ensure standards of excellence
    • Dimensional Inspection: The application of correct measuring tools ensures the correct dimension and tolerances during the entire manufacturing process.
    • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Magnetic particle testing and the processes of ultrasonic testing reveal any surface and internal faults that may be weakening the part.
    • Fatigue Testing: Samples are tested to verify the part’s performance under stress and high-cycle fatigue conditions, mimicking real-world operating environments.
    • Hardness Testing: Hardness tests the hardness levels in order to ascertain whether the forgings meet the wear resistance required standards.

    Key Features

    • Enhanced Strength: Hot forged enhances the strength of the material and the grain and results in higher strength and fatigue life.
    • Improved Durability: The use of the highest-quality alloy steel with cutting-edge heat treatment processes improves the strength and life of every crank axle.
    • Customizable Design: We also offer custom dimensioning and threading and custom material option that specifically caters the diversified usage of automobiles.

    • Industrial Applications: Used in a variety of industrial machinery, including construction and power generation machinery, wherein strength and longevity play a vital role.

    Packaging and warehousing

Crank axles are specially packed in a manner that will not allow any shipping-induced damage. They will be either plastic- or foam-padded and sealed within durable crates that will not scratch, dent, or rust them. The axles will be properly labeled for easy recognition. Crank axles will be placed in a temperature- and drying environment if they will be stored for a period of years to avoid rusting.

    Shipment

We offer shipping of the world that guarantees the prompt and secure arrival of your crank axles at any destination worldwide. Our seasoned shipping staff ensures that the parts arrive in the best possible state. Through sea, air freight, or ground shipping, we assure that the components will be reliably sent to help you stay within schedule in the course of your manufacturing processes.
