Cold-forged or Cold-extruded Inner Tube
Material
The cold-forged or cold-extruded inner tube may be made of different materials, which in normal cases is carbon steel, steel alloys, or stainless steel, selected depending on durability, anti-corrosiveness, and tensile strength. The carbon steel is in normal cases being utilised for normal-purpose purposes, whereas in heavily loading environments, there is enhanced mechanical functionality. In aggressive, damp, or damp environments, stainless steel is being utilised due to its anti-corrosiveness and anti-rust.
Specifications
• Material Types: Alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel
• Outer Diameter (O.D.): Specially made for individual purposes
• Wall Thickness: Variable depending on pressure requirements, tolerance levels precisely measured
• Length: Available in different lengths as desired by clients
• Hardness: Generally between 45-60 HRC, varied based on material
• Surface Finish: The polished or matt finishes, optionally anti-corrosive powder coatin, or platinized zinc.
• Operating Temperature: Normally between -30°C and 250°C, depending on material
• Tolerance: Precision engineering allows for stringent tolerance for correct fitting and assembly
Production Processes
1. Cold Forging: The process is a room temperature process of compressing metal, which hardens its strength, makes it hard, and refines its structure. The process evacuates voids and contaminants, strengthening it for the inner tube.
2. Cold Extrusion: The material is cold-extruded under cold temperature using a die for reaching a desired tube shape. High precision is attained in cold extrusion, which provides greater structural stability in tube interior.
3. Machining and Grinding: Turning, drilling, and grinding secondary operations can be utilised for tube machining in a process of precisely delivering customer requirements.
4. Surface Treatment: The interior of the tube can be surfaced treated in a process of polishing or coating for enhanced durability against corrosion and wear, depending on its end use.
Quality Test and Inspection
Each cold-forged and cold-extruded tube is precisely controlled for its quality in a position so it can meet all of its requirements:
• Dimensional Inspection: Each of these measurements, for example, such as outer diameter, wall thickness, and length, is inspected for true tolerance carefully.
• Material Analysis: The material is chemically examined in a process for reasons of establishing it is of industrial grade.
• Hardness Testing: The tube is hardness tested in an effort to ensure it can fulfill operation requirements.
• Impact and Fatigue Testing: The tube undergoes impact and cyclic loading tests in order to test its durability and capability of resisting excessive wear over time.
• Surface Quality Test: The surface is examined for shape defects in the forms of inconsistencies, cracks, and burrs.
Key Features
• High Strength: The cold-foraging and cold-extrusion technologies have improved tensile strength and deformation resistances of tube.
• Precision Fit: Engineered for closure in tolerance for an ideal fit in your machinery for ultimate performance.
• Durability: Enhanced for improved temperature change, stress, and abrasion.
• Corrosion Resistance: The stainless steel solutions have a stronger prevention of corrosion, which is ideal for stringent environmental requirements.
• Cost-Effective: The cold-forming technologies are cost-efficient, minimizing material loss and cost.
Industry Applications
• Hydraulic Systems: Placed in cylinders, pumps, and valves wherein internal tube durability is critical in preserving support for operation and pressure.
• Automotive Components: Excessive in braking systems, suspension systems, and in shock absorbers.
• Pneumatic Systems: Comprehensively utilized in air compressors and pneumatic machines for which operation is necessitated under a highly pressurized scenario.
• Construction and Mining Machines: The internal tube is being used in excavators, cranes, and bulldozers for improved durability and functionality.
Packaging and Storage
The cold-forged or cold-extruded tube is packed well so it is not damaged when it is shipped. The tube is protected against moisture, scratching, and mechanical stress by protective packaging materials of foam packaging, plastic packaging, and corrugated boxes. Storage is in a clean, dry location so it is not contaminated and corroded.
