Cold-forged or Cold-extruded Flangeless Disk
Material
The cold-forged or cold-extruded disk-like flanges consist of a large portion of carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel depending on usage. The materials, depending on system requirements, consist of carbon steel for standard strength, alloy steel for enhanced operation in adverse environments, and stainless steel for systems which must have resistant capability for corrosion. The materials undergo cold-forming in different forms for strengthening of materials, which results in material hardening and enhanced durability for impact, abrasion, and fatigue.
Specifications
• Material Types: Alloy steel, stainless steel, carbon steel
• Outer Diameter (O.D.): Custom size according to customer requirements
• Thickness: Varies between thin discs and thick discs, depending on different purposes
• Hardness: Typically in a 45-60 HRC range, depending on material and customer requirements
• Surface Finish: In normal circumstances, powder-coated anti-corrosion treatments, or alternatively, zinc plating.
• Tolerances: High tolerance, so disk is exactly as needed for system materials
• Temperature Resistance: The temperature operation is between 250°C and -30°C, material dependent.
• Weight: Customizable for different usage and design intentions
Production Processes
1. Cold Forging: The material is formed under room temperature using a process of high-pressure presses, which enhances mechanical properties like hardness and toughen. The process is also used in eliminating material flaws, making it have a homogeneous structure.
2. Cold Extrusion: This is a process of pushing material under a mold so it assumes its desired disk shape. The cold process of extrusion yields excellent dimensional accuracy and enhanced material tensile strength.
3. Precision Machining: Secondary operations such as, for instance, turning and grinding, preceded the disk in a pursuit of a tolerance.
4. Coating and Surfacing Treatment: The discs may be coated based on its usage for improved durability of the surface and improved corrosion resistance.
Quality Test and Inspection
Each cold-forged cold-extruded disk undergoes a severe process of checks for quality, which includes:
• Dimensional Inspection: The actual diameter, thickness, and flatness of the disk is measured in an attempt to meet requirements needed.
• Material Composition Testing: We test for verifying an appropriate material grade is being used, so we can ensure disk operation under specified conditions.
• Hardness Testing: Each disk is hard tested in a process for assuring it can endure necessary operation conditions without excessive wear.
• Impact and Cyclic Testing for Fatigue: The discs receive impact and cyclic stress testing in an attempt to test for mechanical stress-resistance over time.
• Surface Integrity: The discs undergo an examination for visible flaws of cracks, scratches, and other blemishes which may have an effect on operation.
Key Features
• Superior Strength: The cold forming process of cold forge and cold extrude enhance disk mechanical properties, resulting in a component of unmatchable tensile strength and durability.
• High Precision: Our discs have a thin tolerance, so there is an ideal fit in your machinery and little possibility of breakdown.
• Enhanced Durability: The cold forming process provides a component of unparalleled durability, which is able to endure extreme operation states, for example, excessive temperature and pressure.
• Corrosion Resistance: The stainless steel grades have excellent corrosion resistant properties, perfect for usage in environments of corrosion, or in cases of moisture.
• Cost-Effective: The process of cold-extrusion and forge is highly cost-efficient, making these discs cost-efficient in an ideal process.
Industry Applications
• Hydraulics: Commonly employed in hydraulics, whose power and longevity is of foremost priority in managing flow and pressure of fluids.
• Braking Systems: Brake discs have a vital part in brake component designs, providing predictable, repeatable operation in stress-filled environments.
• Pumps & Valves: Installed in pumps and valves for controlling fluids, whose functionality directly contributes towards system efficiency and reliability.
• Machinery: Essential in industrial machinery, such as presses, conveyor systems, and manufacturing automation lines.
Packaging and Storage
Each cold-forged or cold-extruded disk of a disk flange is handled meticulously in a way so it is not harmed in transit. Materials for packaging can be plastic wraps, cushion trays, and airtight containers, which protect the disk against mechanical stress and dampness. Storage of these disks is ideal in a well-ventilated, dry place away from corrosives.
Shipment
We offer timely guaranteed domestic and international shipping. We track each package for transparency, which assures timely delivery. The discs are packed well and carefully loaded in a manner so as not to be damaged in transit.
