Pre-coated Resin Sand Castings for Agricultural Machinery
Material
• Gray Iron: Offers excellent castability and wear resistance, commonly used for engine blocks and structural components.
• Ductile Iron: Extremely tough with high resistance to impact as well as fatigue, suitable for parts that are subjected to high loads and mechanical loads.
• Aluminum Alloys: The light in weight and rust-resistant aluminum castings are utilized in parts that have a requirement of a combination of strength with lightening, i.e., gearboxes or hydraulic pumps.
• Steel Alloys: In high-strength application with durability, particularly in machinery component with high utilization, i.e. axle and drive shaft.
Specifications
• Weight Range: The castings can vary from light, small parts to big, heavy castings that can weigh hundreds of kilograms.
• Dimensional Tolerance: Great precision, with a generally ±0.5mm tolerance, which allows the parts fit correctly and work as expected in the agricultural machinery.
• Surface Finish: The pre-coat cast process with resin achieves surface finishes with little requirement for additional machining.
• Mechanical Properties: Engineered with high-performance requirements in agricultural machinery in mind, these castings have high tensile strength, impact resistance, as well as resistance to fatigue.
Production Processes
1. Pattern Formation: The starting step is establishing a highly accurate pattern of the component, usually with durable metals or with resin.
2. Coating: The design is painted with pre-coated sand as pre-coated resin. Pre-coated resin forms a toughened case that is firm in character, which forms stability as also firmness in case.
3. Molding: The pattern is surrounded with sand in a manner that a high dimensional precision solid mould.
4. Curing: The material is heat treated in order to cure the resin as well as enhance the rigidity of the mold in preparation for pouring molten metal.
5. Metal Pouring: The metal is poured into mould with care, into mould cavity, assuming its shape as that of pattern.
6. Cooling & Ejection: The castings are thrown out from the mould once cooled and hardened.
7. Finishing: Castings are cleaned, deburred, and machined as required in order to achieve final dimensions.
Quality Test and Inspection
• Visual Inspection: Ensures that no flaw, surface defects, or crack is in the casting.
• Dimensional Checks: Specialised instruments are utilized in order to check that the casting is in conformity with stringent tolerances.
• Mechanical Testing: The following are carried out in order to establish that castings can be made suitable for rigorous agricultural applications: Hardness, tensile strength, impact resistance.
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Ultrasonics and X-rays are technologies that are utilized in order to inspect for defects that affect functionality that are internal.
Key Features
• High Durability: Engineered to withstand the rigorous conditions of agricultural machinery, including exposure to heavy loads, vibrations, and extreme temperatures.
• Precision and Accuracy: The pre-coat cast with a resin allows us high-tight tolerancing that is essential in order to assemble and efficiently run machinery.
• Superior Surface Quality: The cast surface is smoother, which minimizes additional machining requirements, therefore cost as well as time.
• Corrosion Resistance: The material is resistance-corrosive in its application, which allows durability in outward-bound parts in adverse outdoor surroundings.
• Versatility: Suitable on a wide range of agricultural machinery spares from engines to hydraulic units.
Industry Applications
Pre-coated resin castings are highly utilized in:
• Tractors: Engine blocks, axle housing, gear housing.
• Harvesting Machines: Engine units, gear units, frames.
• Plowing Equipment: Implements like shafats, brackets, and plowshares.
• Irrigation Systems: Valves, pump, and essential components.
• Construction Equipment: Construction material with high durability and high strengths.
Packaging and Storage
Castings are packed tightly in material that protects them from damage in case of carrying and moving. They are held in climatic condition that keeps them in quality state free from rust until application.
Shipment
Once the castings are in conformity with quality requirements, these are exported overseas. Each order is exported with suitable documentation that comprises certificates of inspection as well as conformity certificates in industrial terms.
