O.D. 4-1/2", Thread Type 3-15/16"-6Acme-2G, Lift Subs for Perforating Guns

The O.D. 4-1/2" Lift Sub forms a part of the perforating gun assemblies that guarantees safe and efficient lifting, placement, and recovery during the operation of the wellbore. The 3-15/16"-6Acme-2G threading of the sub guarantees a firm interface and heavy duty use in the oil and gas wells. The use of the lift sub guarantees the carrying and management of the perforating tools during the operation within the wellbore and ensures minimal downtime and maximizes operational efficiency in harsh environments.

    Material

The O.D. 4-1/2" Lift Sub incorporates a heavy-duty steel alloy with higher strength and wear-resisting at abusive pressures. The steel alloy has been specifically selected not only with regard to wear-resisting and fatigue-resistant capabilities but also with regard to resistance to the gaseous and the corrosive environments of drilling the oil and the environment of the wellbore that will be resistant to the saltwater environment. The sub has been heat-treated and sealed with a surface treatment that resists corrosion and will be resistant to abusive fluids and also the environment of the saltwater of the wellbore.

    Production Processes

The production of the Lift Sub involves a multi-step process that ensures the highest standards of quality and performance:
    1. Forging: The forged alloy steel goes through the forging operation to create the original shape of the lift sub. This operation enhances the strength of the material and general durability.
    2. CNC Machining: The sub is then precision-machined using advanced CNC equipment to ensure exact dimensions and a perfect fit for the threads.
    3. Thread Cutting: The Acme threads get properly cut with good thread strength that will not leakage and will not fail.
    4. Heat Treatment: The sub experiences a heat treatment that enhances its strength and endurance against harsh environments of great stresses.
    5. Corrosion Protection: The last of the corrosion-resistant layers prevents deterioration against the harsh environments and fluids of the downhole environment.

    Quality Test & Inspection

Each O.D. 4-1/2" Lift Sub has been tested severely to be assured that it complies with the highest standards of the trade
    • Dimensional Accuracy: The highly accurate and rigorous measuring of the sub ensures that it maintains tight specifications.
    • Thread Integrity: Stringently tests are carried out so that the Acme threads match rigorous standards of operation so that they provide tight and leakage-tight connections.
    • Pressure Testing: The strength and operation of each unit at abusive downhole pressures are assured with the application of testing at pressure.
    • Material Verification: The final product and the raw material are subjected to hardness testing, tensile strength testing and fatigue strength testing in an effort to certify that they comply with the required standards.

    Key Features

    • Reliable Connection: 3-15/16"-6Acme-2G threads provide a stable and tight connection suitable for hoisting and manipulation of the perforating guns in abusive wellbore environments.
    • Enhanced Durability: The lift sub is constructed of higher wear and fatigue strength heat-treated alloy steel, including at elevated pressures.
    • Corrosion Resistance: The corrosion-resistant coating ensures the efficiency of the sub-lift regardless of the flow of corrosive fluids.
    • High-Pressure Tolerance: The sub resists the rigorous environments of conventional drilling of deep wells' pressure.
    • Customizable: Available in multiple lengths and threading configurations suitable for particular operational purposes.

    Industry Applications

The O.D. 4-1/2" Lift Sub has been widely applied in the petroleum and natural gas industry particularly in
    • Perforating Gun Systems: Makes it easy and safe to move and handle perforating guns during downhole operations.
    • Wellbore Tooling: Offers vital lifting capabilities for numerous wellbore tools applied within the drilling of oils and gasses.
    • Heavy-duty Drilling: Most suitable for stressing environments that need the highest strength and reliability.

    Packaging and Storage

Each lift sub is properly packed with protecting material that will keep it free of any damage during shipping. The package will keep the part free of physical damage. The subs need to be placed in a clean and cold environment free of moisture and chemical agents that might be corrosive in order to keep them at the highest standard of finish and operation.

    Shipment

Once manufactured and tested, the Lift Sub ships. We ship within the US and internationally based on customer demand. We ship with options such as standard shipping and expedited shipping and the item will be in the highest state of quality and within a predetermined timeline. We include track information so that the customer has a smooth track of shipping status.
